Guitar Setup

Guitar Setup

The purpose of a setup is to bring a guitar back to its optimum playability, to have it looking, sounding, and feeling at its very best. It can be the difference between a high end guitar being terrible to play and a cheap budget guitar feeling amazing. Every guitar can benefit from a good setup, new and old, low-cost or top of the line. In fact not every new guitar leaves the factory with an ideal setup and those that do can be affected by changes in humidity and climactic conditions meaning that a once properly setup guitar can need adjustments after being shipped from abroad. Even a change in string gauge or custom tuning can be enough to knock a setup off balance. A quick visit to Sound Factory’s Dublin guitar workshop is all that’s needed to get your guitar back to its peak performance.

Typical turnaround time is 1 week but if it's super urgent just let us know when you leave it in and we'll do our best to help. To arrange a setup just drop into our workshop with the instrument as no appointment is needed. We also accept guitars via post and can arrange return shipment once the setup is complete.
